ThePTCode was established in 2024 by Cody Kenly and has been serving athletes across multiple states and countries ever since.
Cody is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. After graduating from DPT school in 2019, he spent nearly four years working as a travel physical therapist in various cities across the United States.
During that time, one theme stood out: no matter the location, active adults were being left behind by the healthcare system. Too often, patients were simply told "Why do you need to do that?" or "Just stop doing what hurts." They rarely experienced rehab that was appropriately challenging or specifically targeted to meet the demands of the sport or hobby they loved.
So Cody set out to build something different: a practice designed specifically for the active adult, the ex-athlete, and the injured athlete who wasn't getting the care they truly needed. He committed to understanding the unique demands of each individual and delivering care tailored to the person, the injury, and the sport.
That's how ThePTCode was born: a hybrid clinic that allows Cody to meet clients wherever they are without ever telling them to stop doing what they love.
(“A five-year-old can tell you to stop doing what hurts. So why did I go through seven years of school?” Cody often jokes.)
Cody still loves to travel and often does so with his dog Caamp and his partner Kelli. He currently lives in Asheville, NC, where he spends his free time hiking, trail running, and pursuing his many hobbies - rock climbing, mountain biking, and CrossFit among them.
He's currently training for a 35-mile run he made up himself: a route from his favorite trailhead (Bent Creek) to what he claims is the best burger in town at Oskar Blues Brewing.
